Description
Got the colours done. This is one of my few attempts at lighting and colouring a full scene. I don’t think I did too bad a job, overall. I’m pretty content with it.

This is also my first real environment in the re-worked setting of Overworld, my graphic-novel-to-be, which takes place upon a series of floating islands. I picture the Drifts, the outer ring of islands that are heavily affected by wind patterns and, thus, constantly shifting around, where Jean lives to be a mix of art-deco style junk salvaged from the more prestigious islands and no-frills craftmanship. I don’t know if I really pulled that off in this piece, but that’s the style I’m hoping to create for Overworld and I think this is a definite step in the right direction

The Dented Wing is the name of the bar, and it's a dive that Jean frequently visits after working at the repair yards; the quietness suits him, following the clamor of a day's ship repair work.
