Alric hadn’t moved in several hours, as he and his legion’s ancient dreadnoughts watched the trial of the primaris space marine's. Both he and the dreadnoughts were analyzing every action, troop movement and mistake they made, taking in every detail and discussing it amongst themselves. For the most part the trail had been going well, but Alric and the captain leading the first born against the primaris had one more card to play ten legion terminators. These ten battles harden vets would push everything that the primaris could do to their limits, but there was one thing that Alric hadn’t counted on. And that there was the thirty- bladeguard veterans that Primaris captain Theliel Battleseeker hadn’t yet deployed.

With a quick vox message to captain Veria Torayi of the legions first grand company forth chapter, the ten terminators teleported deep behind the primaris lines within striking distance of Theliel and his command squad. Ten assault terminators armed with either lighting claws or storm shields and thunder hammers, quickly pushed towards the captain. But that’s when Theliel, played his hand and unleashed the missing thirty bladeguard veterans. The battle between the two veteran forces intense, but the blade guard had numbers and the maneuverability that the terminators lacked. Within minutes both sides had suffered losses, four the terminators with lighting claws were quickly singled out and brought low by the blade guard, while the six remaining terminators fought back-to-back taking about half of the blade guards' number down before they too started to succumb to the blade guards' numbers.

Alric watched as some of his most experienced marines were quickly taken down, this action had surprised both him and the three marines entombed within the dreadnoughts. As the last terminator “fell” too the blade guard he signaled to end the trail. As his sons gathered blow, he and his three ancient dreadnought advisers talked trying to decide the fate primarch’s newest sons. Nendian Ancient of Rites was for them joining, while Vel'sarro, The Righteous Protector was against stating that their creation was an offence against the emperor’s original creation of the first born. Only Lore-Master Adriel of the legions librarius, had yet to voice weather the primaris faced Decimation or Acceptance into the legion.
