Description Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.

Adrienne Beaumont is a feared former district attorney of New York City who gave up her reign in the court room in order to rule the board room as the new CEO of her father's company Beaumont Enterprises.

This beauteous diva is one dangerous woman. I created Adrienne primarily as the prototypical femme fatale for my series. She's secretive and sensual presenting an image of both outward beauty and simmering inner confidence. I wanted to just draw another simple pin-up of her and see if I could really draw her as this femme fatale who looks every bit as dangerous as I imagine her to be.

I have been meaning to comment on this piece but I haven't gotten around to it since that my mind was so exhausted from between roleplaying and doing the Broken Tusk Predator write ups. But today I got some rest and decided to comment on it, so here we go.

It's very evident that the influence or inspiration of Charisma Carpenter here is in this piece. Namely in the facial structure and how the eyes are shaped. I know you made mention that Carpenter is the main inspiration for Adrienne here so I would have to say Kudos to actually making good on your inspiration and reference here. The posture definitely works here, shows off that she can be deadly and actually look very sexy while doing it, using her feminine wiles to lure in the enemy and then gut him like a fish. If this was something you were aiming for, then you have achieved it. Well done.

Out of curiosity did you reference any combat knives for this piece? Because unless it's the angle which the knife is positioned in, I would think that a knife like that would be a little big bigger. Usually knives like that are but I'm thinking that this is the angle making it appear smaller than it actually is.

Over all, well done.

Mmhm. Carpenter was definitely my main influence for the piece. Of course, I think the thing that's important to remember is that she LOOKS deadly when in reality Adrienne uses non-lethal force to take people down in combat. While she employs a series of guns and knives in combat she's trained well enough in them to know how to hurt someone without killing them. After all, how can you interrogate a corpse?

Nope. I didn't reference any knives. The knife didn't have any jagged edges on it when I sketched it out but I ended up drawing it in when I inked it over. I don't really think I did it for any other reason than to add visual interest to it. Lol. But knives come in all shapes and sizes... so it's not like there has to be a standard size for anything especially for a character who has enough money to make customized weapons to suit her size and stature. After all, a smaller knife would be easier for a woman of 5'6" to handle compared to a man of 6'2" to handle.

I like that with all the dark colors on her outfit she has that one line of light blue on her. I also like how you do the small details such as having her nails painted.

Well... that'd be teal or turquoise not light blue. Heh. Each of the Femmes have their own colour that is specific to them and Adrienne's is teal/turquoise. I do try to draw nails whenever I can. It can be difficult with some of the full-body pieces since the hands are smaller in those but in these bigger pieces I have more room for details like nails. I think in one piece I have of Mary she has a French manicure. XD

You got the face nicely, but I think the hands could use more work.

As any artist can tell you, hands (and often feet) are often the toughest part of drawing the human body. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don't.

That's new to me- I thought the eyes were the most troublesome.

Hands and feet. Both usually considered the most difficult.
