Chapter IV - "Confrontation"

"OH GAWD! EDWARD!" Sarah's voice screamed from the back of an SUV which could be seen shaking slightly.

Uh, I'm not much of a cook so I ordered you all some burgers for when you got home." He gestured to the countertop which had two boxes each filled with burgers, Edward was holding one of the burgers and took a bite, "I ordered three for myself. I got a black hole for a stomach." He looked over to Helen's son, "Dash, right? Pleasure to meet ya, man." Bob just seemed confused,

"Uh...thanks for the food but...who the heck are you?" Of course, Edward expected this but he pretended to be confused, cocking his eyebrow slightly with a light,

Well I'd like to stick around but I got a date." Edward headed towards the door when Dash asked,

"Is she hot?" Edward turned to start walking backward,

"You bet she is, man." He gave a wink, "But hey, how about we chill next week? Bob, Dash, I hear great things about your guys' bowling skills." Bob just laughed,

"Dash WISHES he was as good as his old man." He joked, making Dash immediately reply back with sass,

"Dad, remember when I kicked your butt last month?" Edward laughed in the background as Bob replied,

"That was a fluke and you know it. My good hand was working up." Both Edward and Dash would reply in unison,

"Riiiight." Then Edward would stop at the door, "Next Saturday at 8. I will be there. Later, losers!" He said playfully as he ran off making the Parrs wave in response. Dash looked to his father,

"Seems like a cool dude. Though...something about him seemed familiar." Bob would nod as he devoured his burger,

"I know, right? I couldn't put my finger on it." He took another bite, "Oh, man. But he gave us these majestic burgers so he's cool in my book."

Edward was walking down the street with his hands in his jacket pockets, smiling up a storm before speaking to himself,

"Making buddies with her family? Done. Now... of to-" A yell of fear could be heard, making Edward stop and glance down an alley way to see two men beating upon another man,

"Help! Please!" The victim called out to anyone before being punched to the ground then kicked many times by the two perpetrators. Edward just turned his head to look forward, shake his head, then start walking. Meanwhile, one of the thugs grabbed the wallet from the man's pockets before the other stepped over to grab a crowbar from his dufflebag,

"Alright. And this...this is for making things difficult for us." He reached back with the crowbar, about to swing when a hand reached in from the side to grab the crowbar then slam it into the thug's head instantly knocking him to the side. Dazed, he glanced over to see Edward standing at the entrance of the alley way,

"Now what do I see here? Two against one. Now...in my book, that's considered cowardly. And I hate cowards. So..." Edward's arm was still stretched out to where they were, "This is where my fun begins." Edward's hand grew so massive so it could wrap around both thugs easily and begin slamming them from wall to wall multiple times before finally slamming them against the ground, knocking them out cold before his hand returned to him in its normal form. The victim just sat there and watched but once the criminals were unconscious, he glanced over only to see that the hero had vanished without a trace.

Edward knocks on a front door to a house followed by a silhouette who approaches to open said door revealing Angie who gasped lightly in response,

Fading out of darkness, Helen's sight returned to gaze upon the canopy of the mini-van as she let out a light groan from the bright Sunday sun shining in on her face. She took a sniff, "Why do I smell like Bob does?" Shaking her head, she just drove off.

Upon returning home, she would get out of the car and rush inside only to find Bob, Dash, and Jack-Jack enjoying themselves in the living room with Dash playing a board game with his younger brother while Bob enjoyed his newspaper and television,

"Um...Hi." The rest looked up to see Helen and respond with happiness,

"Hey, Mom! Welcome home!" Dash said as Jack-Jack rushed over to hug his mother's leg,

"It's not Helen." Helen went wide-eyed once more, staring at the sink in horror before slowly raising her head to see her reflection was now Edward in her clothes only they were ripped or opened up, "Hey, Helen. With a blink from Helen, Edward was gone and her reflection returned to normal.

All she could recall was playing volleyball were her friends then just blackness. She looked down to see that she was fully dressed in a blouse and compression pants, "When did I change?" She took a sniff, "Why do I smell like Bob does?" Shaking her head, she just drove off.

Upon returning home, she would get out of the car and rush inside only to find Bob, Dash, and Jack-Jack enjoying themselves in the living room with Dash playing a board game with his younger brother while Bob enjoyed his newspaper and television,

"Um...Hi." The rest looked up to see Helen and respond with happiness,

"Hey, Mom! Welcome home!" Dash said as Jack-Jack rushed over to hug his mother's leg,

"Mommy!" Helen couldn't resist smiling and cooing,

"Aww, hi, sweetie." Followed by Bob who greeted her as well,

"Hey there, party animal. You must have had some fun." Helen chuckled nervously at that,

"Yeah...lots of fun. Um...sorry for leaving you guys alone. I didn't mean to stay out so late." Bob just scoffed in response,

"It's all good, your friend explained it to us." Helen looked to Bob intensely,

"...Friend?" She looked both terrified and confused,

"You know, young guy, blonde hair, jacket." She went wide-eyed as Bob continued, "He got us dinner and even made plans for bowling night with us. I bet Lucius will get a kick out of him." Bob laughed as Helen was just frozen with fear,

"Um...yeah, him. Uh, Bob? Honey? Did he say his name?" Bob looked over to cock an eyebrow,

"Yeah, of course. It was um...Edward!" Helen practically felt her heart drop to her feet before Dash followed up,

"Edward...Manhattan, right?" Now it felt like Helen's heart exploded, she couldn't believe what they were saying but she quickly covered herself up with,

"Yeah! Edward...we know each other from back home. Um...well I'm glad you all got along. Look uh...I feel like something that cat hocked up so I'm just gonna take a quick shower." Helen didn't even wait for a response before rushing to the nearest bathroom, shutting the door, locking it, then began hyperventilating, "Okay. Okay. This isn't possible! He can't be here..." Helen looked over to a mirror, glared lightly, then started up the shower to keep up her cover but actually she went right to the mirror and sink, looking at her reflection: she seemed genuinely scared but she managed to get the courage to speak up, "...Edward. You there?" She found herself just staring at her reflection for a few seconds making her scoff then lower her head, "Thank god. It's gotta be someone else..." However, she heard a familiar male voice,

"It's not Helen." Helen went wide-eyed once more, staring at the sink in horror before slowly raising her head to see her reflection was now Edward in her clothes only they were ripped or opened up, "Hey, Helen. Long time no see." Helen gasped in terror, backing up to the wall with Edward mirroring her movements except he kept that same cocky smirk he always had,

"H-How are you here?" Edward stopped mirroring her movements and stepped up to the sink in the reflection,

"Well...because you let me back out. Not every prison is unbreakable, Helen. I was bound to come back at some point." Helen slowly approached the mirror as well,

"...You're so much younger." Edward just looked down to himself,

"Yeah. I guess I can't complain. No lady wants some forty year old guy to sleep with." He laughed a bit, she was still horrified making her barely able to move,

"...Edward, I want you to go away. Right now." That just made Edward frown with disappointment as he sighed a bit, "I had to force you away before but now I'm just asking you. You'll ruin everything." She was immediately responded to by an annoyed Edward,

"Is that what I'm doing? I guess you waking up refreshed and happy is me ruining everything? Okay, I'll just go and you can return to being miserable, stressed, and ready to snap at any moment." Helen just remained silent, realizing that Edward had a point, "Yeah, that's what I thought." Suddenly, Helen remembered the vision of Sofia having sex with some man along with the women at the beach saying that Sofia had sex with a man named Edward so she covered her mouth,

"Oh god...Sofia? That was YOU?!?" Edward had no shame about the truth so he shrugged with a nod,

"Yup. She was the best one yet." Helen's heart was going faster than ever before as she realized that she technically had sex with her best friend but Edward's words made her gasp,

"...Yet?" Edward just laughed,

"Don't remember? Oh, Rose, Sarah, and Angie were even easier to get into bed. They just had to hear about my...perfect touch through the grapevine." Helen went pale, turning around to hold her head,

"Oh my GOD! I don't believe this!" Almost like Edward's confirmation allowed flashes of his sexual encounters with her friends go by her eyes, "You...You had sex with four of my friends in two days?!?" Edward just smiled, seeming proud of it,

"Most guys would be begging for that kind of pleasure. Don't act like you didn't have fun." More flashes went by and Helen found herself aroused, letting out a slight moan before shaking her head,

"Stop it! I'm not a guy! I can't enjoy it because I'm married with four kids! You aren't even real! You're just...a mistake!" Edward immediately gave a disapproving look at Helen, "My mistake! This stops now. No more!"

"...You know. You're feisty. It's a shame that we are connected like we are because I'd love to give you this di-" Helen would then interrupt them,

"What do you want, Edward?" Edward shook his head,

"You locked me away for over twenty years, Helen. Twenty years I could have lived if you had just worked with me but instead you caged me like an animal. I just want what's due to me...time to live my life and I'll let you live yours. Simple as that. I spend time having my fun while you spend time with your family having your own fun. It's a win/win." Helen went silent at his words, "But...it's up to you. I won't bother you again until you need me out again...and I know you will. Tell Sofia I said 'Hi." With a blink from Helen, Edward was gone and her reflection returned to normal.
