Wow, the lighting is done so beautifully! Love the highlights on the character and it does indeed seem like sunlight filtering through leaves. The contrast between the bright, open space on the right and the darker, cavernous area on the right makes for a visually interesting composition as well :3
The only thing that seems off in any way is where the tail crosses behind the leg closest to the front; they seem slightly indistinguishable. Maybe add a darker shading to the tail, or a bright edge around the leg where the light hits it from behind?
The colour scheme is done really skillfully: the colours are close enough to give a sense of unity in the piece (as well as suggesting that "sunbathed" atmosphere") but distinct enough that each element is distinguished.
