Just a pic to show people which brushes I use. These are both default brushes, so you already have them. ^^The first one: Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow is the one I use about 95% of the time in Photoshop. I use it for the lineart too. I generally have it set at 80% Opacity and use the pressure sensitivity of the tablet to vary the opacity. So I put more pressure on the pen when I want heavy brush strokes and less pressure when I want lighter brush strokes.
The second brush: Airbrush Soft Round. This is just the fuzziest default brush. I use this mostly in backgrounds and to soften shadows.
In Painter I use 'Soft Oil Pastel' for colouring and 'Just Add Water' for blending.

I cherish these two brushes, they're no longer useable in CS5, which ticked me off.

Can I ask you something?
I have photoshop CS 4, and a Wacom Bamboo pen tablet (if thats important) But I cant find tje airbrushes. And every digital paiting tutorial says that you have to use the airbrush pen opacity brush >:

Argh, someone please give a download link for the first one! I have Photoshop CS4, and I'm at my WITS END trying to find a download link for that first brush, and I'm NOT buying Wacom. End of Story.

I recently re-installed Photoshop Elements (the photoshop Ive always used) and Ive always had these brushes on my old computer but since installing photoshop again on my computer I cant find them. I have a Tablet and Can't think why I dont have them anymore?
Ive tried resetting my brushes and what not But I just cant find them.

Did you get them?
If you didnt, reset your brushes. All of the brushes that were there since the begining will show. BUT any brushes that werent there (custom, downloaded, etc.) will dissapear.

Yeah, you have to have installed the wacom driver for them to appear.

Actually, i just reset my brushes and BOOM! there they were!
I had a few customs, never used, theyre gone but i dont care.

I almost had tears in my eyes after seeing these after four days of separation. 
- re-installing photoshop
- re-installing drivers
- re-installing brush packages
- checking every brush
- checking if everything is set right in ps
- cleaning computer from viruses and whatnot
- checking pen pressure on Wacom.
Now it even doesn't want to read .abr. :/ It was lost because the whole program stopped loading, couldn't do a thing about it, and now when I re-installed CS my fav brush is gone. D; I'd be glad if you could give some tips on how to get out of this mess. :< I've got lots of work to do but can't finish it.

those are my two main brushes also, but i opened my photoshop 5 today and somehow they have just disappeared. now in default there is only some simple hard round brushes. has this happened to you? i dont know what i can do

click on that little arrow in a circle thing (button) on the top bar of the brushes and click on "reset brushes".

I'm searching for these brushes but I've got some problem... into my palette the brush with this name, "Airbrush pen opacity flow", is a common rounded brush... I just would like to know why your brush is so... particular...

Do you use a mouse or a tablet? If you just use a mouse, the brush won't have the fade effect. You need a tablet with "pressure sensitivity". I hope that answers your question.

I've got a Wacom tablet... but it doesn't work =_=

Hmmm ;-;
Try this:
1) Press f5 to open the brush window.
2) Find the Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow brush and select it
3) Then click on 'Other Dynamics'
4) Set Opacity jitter and Flow jitter to 0% and set conrtol to "Pen Pressure"
If that doesn't work then you may need to reinstall the tablet. ;-;

Yeah, you need a tablet for these brushes to work properly.
Although the second brush still works well with a mouse.

Akk, so desperate^^. Since you seem to be so helpfull I thought I might as well ask you a question. I don't have a tablet, sadly. And I don't have Photoshop, I got Paintshop (XI Photo) and I am not sure if this Airbrush Pen opacity Flow brush is in there as a basic brush. Do you know?^^

Hey Everand. I've never used Paintshop so I don't know if it has the Airbrush Pen opacity Flow brush. But if you don't have a tablet the brush would just behave like an ordinary basic round brush anyway...

Surely the brush won't work if I don't have a tablet, you can't regular pressure with a mouse^^ But someday I'll get a tablet and it would be nice to know if I need to get photoshop beforehand to use brushes like that.
