7/15/2017: Last-minute poncho design tweaks.

ASDFJKLGHJGLHL THIS TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO FINISH HOLY SHITTTTT.

Welp, here it is. The first of four main-character reference sheets for my planned Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath fancomic (I would call it a fan-sequel if that didn’t sound so goddamn pretentious). Why am I wasting my time and energy making a ref sheet for a canon character who already has a massive amount of concept art/rendered art/screencaps to use as references instead? Well, in addition to me just being a giant fuckin’ weirdo, Stranger is going to have a sort of "gone native" look in addition to his first in-game outfit, since he doesn’t exactly need to hide his identity around the Grubb. Also, I wanted to make myself a standard for keeping these characters looking consistent in my style. Steef faces are hard, yo.

I’ll be doing more concepts/ref sheets for this fancomic as it progresses, and I’ll eventually set up a side-blog for it on my tumblr ( fennecfyre-draws.tumblr.com/ ). Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s 3 AM and I’m going to go sleep forever.

Edit 5/20/2016: Changed Stranger's crossbow from a double-shot to a single-shot. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how impossible and hard to draw firing a double-barred crossbow actually is. And in the cutscenes, it actually only has one slot. In-game, the two slots are actually more like mini catapults than a crossbow.
