yes they are based off of martial arts but they are given their power by a psychic force which is the land turtle so Pyrox uses his psychic force to control the fire

Im pretty sure it would look a lot less fighting type without the uniform. The uniform also brings a parallel to pignite, further giving a visual cue of "fighting type". While I cant think of a suggestion to make it look more psychic type, im sure you can think of something.

An another note, I would like to mention that your grass starter has a very similar look to the the fire starter, the body is the same. If you're going for grass/dark, may i suggest trying to make it a quadruped rather than a bipedal Tasmanian devil?
