Description
Took quite a bit of fiddling around but I turned my nebula picture into something like the Time Vortex effect from Doctor Who.Related content

hello there, I really like this image and it fits in well with my university motion graphics project. I was curious to know how you made this and would like to request if you could tell me how so I could make one myself to use in my project.
Thanks,
Dan.

I used flaming pear's photoshop plugins to create several different nebulas that after much tweaking I combined to make this pic:

Then I just used the (iirc) spherise distortion(plus more tweaking) to turn it into a tunnel. Can't remember the exact procedure, this was some time ago!
Though this method can only produce stills, don't know if it will help with a motion project.

Thanks for the fast reply and sorry for the slow response from me.
I would be using a still image in my motion graphics project for the background, thank you for telling me how to do it I will give this a go.

I could stare at this image for ages, it's intense and oddly mesmerising.
