Mille Lacs Lake, Thanksgiving at sunset. Driving home from seeing the folks and pulled over.The ice was breaking up in sheets on the shoreline, creating wonderful drama as the sun was setting.

It was definitely a case of "right place, right time." I couldn't bear to leave! The dog ran around on the shore while I kept snapping photos.
I have reprocessed some of the shots from this series multiple times, always trying to bring out more color, depth, whatever.
I do have this one printed out and hanging on my wall and it's drop-dead gorgeous.
