Relax Shadow, it's just a game!
Here comes my first sonic fanart since 2012 hahaha. Time flies when you're having fun at university.
Bet you can count all of the characters and get it right?
I started working on this artwork in March and tried to drop it multiple times. Instead of giving up on it I kept on adding characters. And more. And even more. The original concept from March includes Sonic and Shadow playing a video game with Knuckles, Silver, Rouge and Charmy Bee around. The rest of the unplanned characters = me having nothing else to do with my life yarr.
In case anyone asks the background is meant to be simple. Due to the number of characters I had to come up with something less creative lol.
All the characters belong to SEGA (please don't make me name them all).

I'd say this picture is great looking. Looks good for all the characters in this picture. This comes to mind, like playing with my friends sometime years ago, my friends are brothers. One of my old friends has been my rival. Sometimes we tend to compete for something, but nowadays we are friends. I've also had a another rival, but nowadays we have better ways. Well the background is well done and this whole picture. Certain youngsters of the modern age are those, brothers' parents who can afford to buy different games for their two sons, I know their parents, they have only two sons. that's all I say about it.

OMG I love this! Sehr Gut!I love how u capture the expressions! It's almost like I'm there too, rooting for Shadow tho, he's my favorite next to Tails, Jet, Infinite and his Jackal Squad, and Knuckles. I wonder what they're playing?

I don't actually remember what game they were supposed to play. I think it was one of the newer All-Stars Racing games. Could have been Forces, because at that time we didn't know if we would get a multiplayer in the game.

DAMN. That's gotta be the biggest group of people I've seen watching a two-player session in person outside of a tournament or Games Done Quick convention. XD You've done a fantastic job depicting all of these characters and putting them into a small space without making the composition itself look overloaded. I love how you depicted everyone's emotional expressions and body language here--you can TASTE the excitement and tension circulating throughout the room as Sonic and Shadow are duking it out with either each other or a tough boss, and everyone's general state, from Big's alarm at Vector using Froggy as a squeezable stress-toy to Rouge trying to give advice to Shadow on the fly to the little-kid joy of Charmy and Cream, feels both true to each character and unique to the picture as a whole; I'm impressed you managed to avoid fully repeating a single expression for anyone! Coupled with your virtually flawless lighting and shading, I don't think it's that much of an exaggeration for me to say that this is one of THE best piece of Sonic fan-art I've seen ANYWHERE on this site to date! (Though I'm not entirely sure what the deal is with your choice of a dojo as a backdrop for this piece; it feels like an odd clash with a situation that seems a little more appropriate for a living room or convention space.)
Consider me a new fan! (And how sweet and gracious of the group to let Eggman join in on the fun, by the way--I guess even the most sworn of enemies can come together in the name of a good competition/run! )

Hey, sorry for taking so long with replying. I was on hiatus for a few months.
Yeah haha xD that was a challenge. Took me 3 months to finish. Every time I was working on each character I wanted to quit lol. It was painful and too much of a challenge.
I posted it after 4 years of hiatus though, so may call it an 'entrance' x'D

Yeah, dojo background was basically me refusing to work on this art any minute longer + coming up with something plain, not to distract too much from characters overload. Can't see it much anyway, I'm impressed that you've actually read the theme of it!
Tell you a secret-- I used one of my old 3D renders of a Kyoto room I modelled 2 years ago and blurred it out. That is how lazy I was about it.

No worries about taking a while to get back to me. Considering the sheer amount of time and creative energy you poured into this and some of your other pieces, I figured you'd want to take a rest before jumping right back into things. Sorry about you not having any left when it came time to do the background, though--burnout's a bitch, isn't it? Thank goodness you didn't quit on it, at least, or else we NEVER would have gotten this! (And yeah, it's kind of hard to mistake the wall patterns in the background and the floor pattern in the foreground for too many other places, at least for me...
Keep doing what you do! I'll be looking forward to seeing what other pieces of yours I can comment on in the future!

No, jestem nie mal stworzeniem mitycznym, niczym Święty mikołaj czy wróżka zębuszka. Heh szkoda że nie dali multiplayera bo to jeszcze nawet w STH 06 było całkiem przyjemną odskocznią od głównego wątku. Co-op rządził hłe hłe. Co do udzielania się w fandomie to chyba ten okres który zaczął się wraz z blogowaniem mam już zwyczajnie za sobą. Czytanie opini na temat swoich prac i na odwrót mnie już nie rajcuje. Wróciłem do trybu antyspołecznego buraka. Niestety nie występuję też w żadnej innej społeczności pod np. ksywką RaitoSSj3godblue xD Raczej jestem milczącym obserwatorem. STH '06 bylo w porzadku w kwestii soundtracku, do dnia dzisiejszego to prawdopodobnie jadna z nielicznych gier sernika, ktorej OSTu slucham od czasu do czasu. Gameplay bylby calkiem w porzo gdyby nie te bugi i spieprzone FPSy...
Wiesz co... z tym czytaniem opinii na temat prac... musze sie z Toba zgodzic. Ciezko tutaj o konstruktywna krytyke kiedy ludzie zwyczajnie leca na popularnosc. Kiedys bylo inaczej. Ostatnio zdarzylo sie, ze mlodsze odoby kolo 15-16 wiekowo zaczepily mnie tutaj zalewajac pytaniami i az mi sie przykro zrobilo widzac siebie lata temu podekscytowana kazda nowa gra, zapowiedziami, nowinkami etc. Juz mnie to tak nie rajcuje jak dawniej. Nie wyczekiwuje na nic od Segi, nie ekscytuje sie artami innych osob, nawet jesli ktos walnie cos naprawde super. To takie 'oh, wyglada niezle, keep it up!' i tyle. Albo to z wiekiem przychodzi, albo widzielismy juz tyle podobnych artow, ze trudno nas idzie zaskoczyc czy zadowolic.

Kurde rozmowa idzie publicznie, ale twój facet nie zna polskiego he? Tu jakieś deklaracje obserwacji tu jakieś kurwa serduszka... Owszem że miało multiplayera, w kooperacji sie fajnie grało. Tylko masochiści raczyli się tym gniotem na tyle długo żeby to odkryć. Jeżeli chodzi o soundtrack to na pewno seria Adventure i Shadow the hedgehog. Kolejny gniot który mi wyrwał miesiąc z życia swoją drogą...To poczucie bycia takim ostatecznym złodupecem ahh...
Widać się starzejemy. Hormony się uspokoiły i chęć bycia aktywistą wyparowała. Ale dobrze że są młodsze pokolenia na nasze miejsca hehe. Można właśnie też rzec iż jesteśmy bardziej doświadczeni i więcej wymagamy.
Jak to nie imprezujesz, myślałem że studenckie życie to jeden wielki american pie! Nie no też nie byłem jakiś do przodu w tych tematach. Widać teraz musimy iść w stronę kulturalnych prywatek z winem, rozmowami o polityce i founde na stole, xD
AH tak, Goku teraz ogarnął jeszcze Ultra Instynkt. Transformacji bedzie co najmniej z 9. Sczerość , prawda i sernik zawsze na czasie.

Bede wrzucac modele niedlugo, pierwszy planuje zrobic jutro... tez cos wspominalam na swojej stronie, ze 3D stuff beda sie pojawialy powoli pod koniec listopada dopiero...
