Description
Legend has it that the merrow is the male analogue to a mermaid. In general he is presented as a monster with the head of a predatory fish and looks very deterrent. Therefore I had the idea of altering that image, just leaving little hints to the original form like a battlesome dorsal spine or a crown of horns. So it´s a rather nice merman, don´t you think?

Although this picture (done in 2003) as my whole gallery is damn old meanwhile, since I have given up drawing several years ago (still amazed at any visitors here), hereby a supplement of owed credits to Brian Froud / Alan Lee: pose and basic idea is based on their book "Elfen, Goblins und Spukgestalten". Their merrow is, however, a real monster, for my merrow I claim that he is a "little bit" less disgusting.
