Nice scene, the mood is really great, but I think it miss something because I have not really a point to focus my eyes and to understand the elements on your description, it just makes me feel that this scene looks empty ( It could be a flag on the water or some trolls who works or a city, a world on the background).
However it's just my opinion, your work is great anyway.
