I was trying to finish the "Keepsake" image when I found those... And the Keepsake image came into being because I was trying to find a little kid to go with the Polar bear...

I dunno, it might be fun to be in a Utopia to an extent as long as you have a creative outlet for things. What I meant by challenge was an artistic challenge.Β I've been considering putting up a journal and having the first ten people to post to it be the ones who get to challenge me but.. I've yet to decide for sure.

It can be, figure out what you think I should draw/manip/write and I will do it. I just need inspiration today *sigh*. I want to do something but I can't figure out what.
*laugh* You know, I've never had dreams like that..
I dreamt that I woke up in an alternate reality filled with magic and that I was sent there by "alt me" (that's what I referred to her as in my dream). She apparently made some stupid challenge and didn't realize that someone would take her up on it.Β She didn't like people, preferring magical creatures and beings to human beings and so to prevent herself from having to get an apprentice or from having to worry about guys proposing to her, she said that she would only deal with someone who was her magical equal. The thing was, she was the most powerful sage they had, because she had an inherent understanding of magic.Β Which caused someone who had been secretly crushing on her to lose it.Β He (I referred to him as an alt because he looked and sounded like a really good friend of mine but he was really evil) decided that he'd "show her".Β So he tried the normal ways of increasing his abilities and that didn't work. Then he discovered a darker way to get extra magical powers. He started sacrificing people and ripping their magic out of them. It didn't work in the long term because it would slowly leak out of him (magic incompatibilities).Β Which caused him to invent a magic battery so that when he sacrificed someone he could put that magic in the battery. Alt me, realized she had no idea how to stop him so she started looking for someone who might be able to.Β That's how I got there.Β She figured that as tenacious as I was that I'd try to get back thus making her plan moot.. So she locked me on the other side of the dimension and made it so that I couldn't summon almost anyone from my current dimension (I was able to summon objects though... *snicker* and someone else who I thought of in passing and was surprised they showed up).Β Oh, I forgot. She left me with a magic mirror that had all her memories and all her abilities stored in it to "help" me.
Needless to say, I then trapped alt friend in a tower and began to magically drain him. Thinking that would work (I had him locked up for 10 years while trying to figure out if there was a way to make it permanent).Β He broke out 2 days before the blood moon. In that time I'd discovered the "Soul Knife" a magic blade that could be used to completely sever someone from the use of magic. I created one but had to lock it up so that no one accidentally used it (single use on it and I didn't want anyone getting hurt from it outside the person who was already hurting people).Β The alt friend got out and I had the only person that I had been able to summon from the other dimension as bait.Β Everyone else I cloaked (just in case) then I set traps all over the base just to be sure. A specific spell would trigger the trap (and I would go and check it out, reset the trap and free someone if they happened to be the wrong person).Β He showed up and used the spell, got trapped, I set off the magic drain knowing that he had the battery in his hand (his staff) and once he was weak enough I stabbed him with the soul knife.Β I cursed the soul knife that should he try to regain magic again he would die. Then I woke up.

OH that sounds awesome!!!! XD I like the soul knife thing. That kind of makes me think of the magical objects in the harry potter books. Very mysterious and me wanting to know how they got made lol

*laugh* It was a cool dream. Though admittedly, when I was dreaming I thought about all the things that go wrong in movies and books when you have a plan like mine.. SO I decided that it would NOT happen because I'd try to think of everything that could go wrong and made sure to set parameters to prevent it.
As for the soul knife, I actually remember how I made it. Took me 2 months of utilizing a magic forge.Β I had to turn my will into the blade and I couldn't think of anything else while working (otherwise I'd have to start over... Which happened a couple of times because someone kept interrupting me..Β The person who I summoned from my previous dimension, so I sent him off to somewhere else so I could focus. Went much faster then.)

Wow, see I'm not that controlling in my dreams. Most of mine I'm just along for the ride. XD
That sounds soooo cool!!! I get so driven to know about stuff like that. Like the *probably saying it wrong* varillian swords from game of thrones. I WANT to know what they are made of and why they are SO special. XD

Mine tend to be cinematic and I tend to do a lot of thinking in them.Β Not sure why exactly, I hear about other people's dreams and sort of wonder why mine are the way the are.
*laugh* Me too! I'll spend hours after I wake up from a dream (or after reading a book) trying to figure out how things were done and why. I like to understand the mechanics. I've yet to read Game of Thrones (mostly because my husband knows me pretty well and he has told me that everyone dies, every time you like them they die.. So he said that I'd hate it. He's pretty correct, I hate tragic stories.) However, my husband and I have discussed that, we have no idea. Sometimes I wish authors would write a compendium about these things you know?

To me it doesn't matter if its drawn or with people but in my head when you said anything from the choices you gave me I thought of a light fairy touching water and on the other side showing a girl touch the water like a mirror of 2 dimensions. *came up cuz of our discussion of your dream and dimensions* XD

LOL well I get that. I don't mind the people dying. Tho there's a huge satisfaction when someone dies that you wanted to. XD I know i'm mean. Like in They first time someone died in a book that made me upset was harry potters god father. Sirius Black.Β

Ok your suggestion is finished.. Took me a LOT longer then I anticipated because drawing people is hard *sigh*. It's a digital paint and it's not a speed painting (because it was way longer).Β Anyways I hope you like it.

I cried when Sirius died too.. The first person in a book that passed that shocked and upset me was Moretta DragonLady of Pern. I was just miserable for days afterwards.

*laugh* Yeah, I guess we are kinda odd in that we mourn imaginary people, on the other hand it might be because we're empathic and we genuinely like the characters because they remind us of people or something. Personally, I agree I think we're just cool like that!~
