I apologize for the few of you that have already seen this, but DA seems to have lost my earlier submission, so I'm trying again.This was a gift for a friend. As for the title, Jack Sparrow is fine with me, but I really enjoy making fun of Will Turner/Orlando. He's wimpy and I wanted to catch that oblivious look he wears the majority of the time. Hence this picture. Yarrrr. I hope someone besides me finds it humorous.
As a side note, I realize that Will Turner's face in particular looks quite blotchy. The original has none of that, but my scanner has a tendency to make shading look significantly off. However, he looks too pretty most of the time anyway, so let's pretend it's grime, sweat and blood...well, then again, maybe not, as it is Orlando....

You caught both their expressions perfectly: Jack's, devious and yet unbelieving (and a little annoyed) that he took the youngster along. Will's: Wondering what Jack's thinking/doing and day-dreaming again about...Elizabeth.
I am with you about how he almost always plays the parts of the ignorant and lovestruck simpleton. (except in LOTR).

ROFL!! Awesome job with shadow and highlights. What's not to love about good old Captain Jack, eh.
I do find Bloom attractive (slaps self in face), though I don't crush on him. And I do prefer his dark brown locks to the straight blonde they gave him in LOTR. Nevertheless, Depp's Sparrow is far more alluring.

You did an incredible job with this, the detail is great, and even though the scanner did that, still better than most of the portraits I've seen of Will.
I'm currently making an attempt -key word here XD- to draw Jack.

And that only took you 10 hrs! Wow! Like its a joke between my friends and i how long it takes for me to finish a drawing! I have been working on one for a year and bit more....i just get the horses' legs right! Amazing though! So wish i could draw like that!

Well, speed comes with practice--and I probably move to quickly through some areas of a peice at the drawing's expense. Then again, other drawings in my gallery, like the Daniel in the Lion's den or Aragorn easily took 20 hours or more.

Oh my goodness. *stares* I. Thought. That. Was. A. Photograph. 10 hours? You've got stamina. Absolutely fantastic work, I have just gotta fave.

hehe I don't think I have much stamina compared to the many pencil artists I admire. It's not uncommon for them to produce drawings that take well over 30 hrs! Anyway, this drawing was done over the course of 2.5 weeks whenever I had a spare moment, so 10 hrs isn't really that much.

This is amazing. I love how you captured the look on Orlando's face. I must say that I am more partial to Captin Jack myself. Orlando looks much better as a blond elf

Wow, you've never seen it?! You might be the only person I know who hasn't, but then again, you really aren't missing much. It consists of Depp sneering and waving his hands around accompanied by Orlando batting his eyes at the camera.... so nope, you are missing much at all.
