I’m a closet Trekkie. There, I admitted it. I’ve never been to a convention, worn fake ears or latex forehead ridges, but I can hold my own in a conversation about the original series and the following spin offs more than most people my age. That being so, Spock has always been my favorite character.I had a lot of reservations about using this reference photo, namely because it is so popular and my picture will be one of dozens on DA of the same pose. But it was a great side profile shot, which is a welcomed relief to the head-on shots I often torture myself with drawing.

Hello, fellow *cough* Trekkie! Haven't seen as much of TOS series myself, but want to buy a BluRay player just so I can buy the new BluRay TOS season one. I was raised on TNG, and my mom was raised on TOS. Speaking of which, just before I came to the library I saw "Star Trek" with my mom! (My second time seeing it, and her first.) I *think* she liked it, though she did miss the "where no man has gone before" instead of the new "where no one has gone before." After I saw this the first time around, I went right out rented a number of the movies, like II, III, IV (my fav), VII, ST: First Contact (another fav), ST: Nemesis (meh). I also bought the movie novelization, plus a DVD with the "Best of" TOS.
Oh, I'm sorry, I want to talk about your wonderful art! Pardon the excitement from the newest movie. Great job. I love the choice of pose, and the hair is picture perfect. Heck, all of it is picture perfect. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see if you draw more. Please? Pretty please? Do I have to beg?
Also, I've already started a Sarek/Amanda pic, myself. (I'll captain that ship forever. *please excuse the obnoxious fangirlling*) Am considering a Spock Prime one too, of Nimoy.

IV is also my favorite of the original cast films--when I was too little to remember the title, I referred to it as "the whale movie."
How did you feel about the Spock/Uhura relationship in the new movie?

Yep, Data is great. And the Borg are certainly the most interesting enemies!
Though I love Vulcan/human relationships (Sarek/Amanda), the Spock/Uhura thing just doesn't appeal to me for various reasons. Though, I would love to see any art featuring the two if you do draw them together.
Saw "Star Trek" for a third time, by the way. I'll probably see it more times in the theater as well, though I'm sure it won't beat my record of 18 (which was the number of times I saw the PoTO movie in theaters).
