It is not his name, that's an unofficial fan-created name.  Disney has stated officially that his name is NOT Adam.

Well, the movie does not mention his name. In all the fanart appears as Prince Adam. I really do not know who gave that name. Thanks for your comment.

No, they do NOT mention his name in the movie, or anywhere else officially.  Adam is a name started and spread by the fans, but never used officially by Disney.  In fact, Disney has officially stated that it is NOT his name.

Actually, you're right, ONE use over twenty years ago in a fringe CD-ROM game NOT produced or sanctioned by Disney does not make a canon name.  The name Adam has never been used in any official capacity by Disney, in movies, theme parks, theatrical productions, books (the encyclopedia is a pretty popular myth, but it is untrue), video games or merchandise.  Disney didn't "forget," and I don't know why fans have run with this particular name, but it is NOT part of the character.  Disney has actually officially stated that it is NOT his name.
