It's the FREAKIN' MASTER, people!I finally saw the last part of the two-parter episode. I caught the first half when it aired. Now, two years later, I MANAGE TO FINISH IT. Bless you, BBC3! I never connected with David Tennant as the Doctor (Ecclescakes you are sorely missed!), so gave up watching DW halfway through series 2. Anything with John Simm in is DEFINITELY worth a watch though, and he rocked The Master leik whoa.
I wish he'd get his own spin-off series where he could just dance around all day being evil and, you know, taking over the world and just, y'know, being dastardly. Oh, and he can turn The Doctor back into that Dobby look-a-like and carry him around on his shoulder like a parrot. I'd pay to see that. Mega bucks.

i love tennant more than anything so we obviously dont agree on that... what we do agree on, however, is that simms was boss at playing the master. god i hope he comes back!

OMG! EPICNESS! Why enslave the human race? Why try to take over the universe? Why constantly ruin the life of the only other member in your species? BECAUSE HE'S THE FREAKIN' MASTER! HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS! 'NUFF SAID! XD I loved David Tennant but I agree with you about the Master. I would pay to see that too! The Master is so adorably evil and maniacal, his own spin off show with him dancing around being evil as you say is a brilliant idea! Have to admit tears were in my eyes when he died at the end of that episode. Now go watch End of Time! It will feed your Master obsession and your anti-Tennant one.

Re my earlier comment about Ten/Simm Master... maybe you could do some Nine/Simm Master art instead? It'd be AU of course but I'd still love to see those two together.... there are a few Nine/Master fics out there but not that many... maybe some art might inspire me, y'never know... (I am not above bribery, as you may have noticed LOL)

love it. Simm!Master rocks. what did you think of the Christmas special. some people think it was some what lacking, but i was having to much fun watching John Simm act like he'd escaped from an asylum to notice ^_^

Haha... I stopped watching Doctor Who halfway through series two. I only caught the Master episodes by chance, and now I'm addicted to them. He's such a fantastic character

The Master's been in Doctor Who for yeeeaarrrsss (as different regenerations, like the Doctor has), but Simm!master was the first one I saw. He was driven mad by looking into the time vortex at a young age and used to be the Doctor's best friend... that's all I know, really. I know I should go back and watch some of the old school eps with him in, but the lack of Simm puts me off haha *is shallow*

Maybe in December. They had David Morrissey last year...I can't see them doing it now because he'd hardly be able to say anything - they keep Doctor Who plots so secret he probably wouldn't even be able to say if he was playing the Master again
...hopefully the Matt Smith thing is all an elaborate ruse and Simm is actually the next Doctor

I saw the top first and scrolled down from there, and it may not be entirely intended, but I love how the blurry-ness of the ... um... (*has forgotten what they're called*) the things and the long shadow at the top make a nice lead-in to the Master and his Dastardly expression.
Also, I'm right there with you on the Master spin-off and the shoulder-DoctorDobby thing. Maybe not even a series if they didn't want to. Maybe just a special here and there. The show seems to love killing off side characters anyway, this should give them a ground to run free!
Anyway. I like the texture of the floor, too, and for some reason his expression reminds me of Dragonball Z.
