Whoa... this is different from my normal stuff, eh?
Hehe, I thought I'd show you guys some of my other stuff. I started this a while ago. As you can see, it has no background. This is where I need your help. If anyone has any suggestions as to what and how I should do the background please tell me. 
So far I'm thinking a grayscale background. I'm just not really sure what media I want to use.
Size: ummm... not sure the size- but it's pretty large

The shading is ridiculous!! And all the different colors in the stripes are amazing!
As for the background, I think it looks good just on white

This immediately caught my eye - it's just so beautiful and very different from your usual work!
And I think that a grayscale background would be a nice idea - I also saw that someone thought of a solid black background. That could be a good possibility, too, but I don't think it would be my first option. Maybe a grayscale savannah? I'm just no good with backgrounds... :/ I'll comment again if I think of anything! Have to put some thought into this one. x'D
But yes, gorgeous work! The variations in his coat (even around the stripes) are so smoothly transitioning. It's really pleasing to the eye!

its basicly black ink. but youcan add wter to it to dilute it and get different shades and what not. if you do use it BE CAREFULL cuz ts stains lik mad!!!

I love this! The muzzle is my favorite and the mane. I think a a grey landscape, a really vivid landscape around the zebra that fades to greyscale toward the right side. Or maybe a very muted greyish colored landscape. Or I think the best contrast would be a solid black background. It would really push focus on the zebra.

I agree with Coriouna, make it grey tones of an african background then you can call the peice something like "the color bringer" or something. *had a good title idea then it ran away*

I think for the background, you should do a greyscale or maybe a really light lime green wash. Either would be really awesome!
