Description
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Today is Remembrance day. In Australia (and New Zealand) we technically have two memorial days of the year and the other one, ANZAC day (25th April), tends to be a bigger thing. 11/11 is still important, though.
I'm in the middle of exams right now so I should probably be studying, but I had my first exam this morning and so I couldn't take part in the one minute silence at 11am this morning. Thus I felt I had to do something else. This is a drawing done in colour progressos and black felt-tip pen. The flower is a poppy, a symbol of remembrance.
2 and a half hours of work.

Simple, but beautiful.
We don't have a memorial's day on my country, but we do appreciate the soldiers' sacrifices.

Thanks .
Having an actual day for it should just represent the attitude people should have towards the soldiers all the time, and a lot of people tend to forget to care at all on any other day =/. Reminds me of this: www.allproudamericans.com/its-…
