My submission for the latest contest with Axl's Anthro Gang.

A new character who appears later in the Sanga stories. He's a former scout who went missing during a previous war under the dynasty of Sanga's mother. Sanga and Tyriq find he's escaped the enemy dungeons, though he's a bit crazed from the years of torture he's endured.

Kebalt is covered mostly in bandages, and wreaks of medicine and ointment all the time. Though the wounds don't stop him from kicking butt--he attained a high pain tolerance, you might say. Even so, he's an awful mess under those bandages, dealing with infection and fleas, and even the wild vultures are always circling him expecting him to drop dead. Kebalt is actually quite alive and lively though, if not horrendous.

he specializes in staff work and pole vaulting, though a slight cross-eyed problem sometimes keeps his depth perception misaligned, resulting in many a failed pole vault and often a messing landing.

regardless, When initially fighting him while he's crazed, Sanga is impressed that he puts up a good fight against her. She may also learn to love someone--that would be a first!

but the most keen thing about Kebalt is that his mind has been wired from torture to always tell people what they want to hear. Whether it's true or not. And he'll do it without a second thought, wether it's in the party's favor or not.

For example, when Sanga asks out of courisity if this strange Kebalt is a god, of course he answers 'yes.' Because he knows that's what she wants to hear. ^^

I based his design off something mummified. Like a partially mummified Egyptian cat. Even though he's not dead or even undead.
