I don't think this looks like a summon. I don't think this looks like a Phoenix either. For one thing, Phoenix aren't suppose to be rainbow either. Whatever, I can colour it anyway I want. It just needed a title.I was reluctant to submit this at first. The bird is coloured so horribly (and it's ugly)! =_=!! And rainbow colours? Is it killing your eyes yet?
Sorry, I had a lot difficulty choosing the colours for this picture.
I started this pic somewhere in the beginning of January and forgot about it until a few days ago haha!
Needed to practice more on natural mediums... not much improvment I see.
The boy is coloured mostly in markers (copics & promarkers) where as the bird is coloured using watercolour more.
I don't have that many variety of markers. They're too expensive.

WHAT!!??!! it is the best game ever!!!!awsome characters and storyline and 90 hours of game play! there are different out fits for the character, side quests, cooking, puzzels, a twist in the story line, points you can carry over from game to game, cool weapons, a neato battle system, great grapics(well, thier really good, the style is cool, thats awesome too), side skits to teach your characters to like eachother, and hundreds of really cool techniques and spells! not to mention rare, but sweet summoning! the only flaw is the the main heroine is the weakest character in the game, but you dont really need her that much and she isnt them main character anyway...

Ps: the tv show doesnt to the game one bit of justice. its way cooler than that.

I do not understand why you would berate such beautiful work. The pheonix you drew is not drawn in the traditional way, but so what? Pride yourself in the fact that you managed to draw a beautiful bird, and yes, some pheonixes do have a prismatic tint to their feathers.
Your use of color is truly remarkable. You said you used markers, but I'm also guessing colored pencils and a small amount of watercolor. Your work is very vibrant, don't down yourself for it.

I find that you are always dumping on your work, saying that you really could have done better or something like that. IT IS ABSOLUTLY AWSOME! I understand that you know what your maximum potential is, but you should know that you don't always have to live up to your best works. (Come and see my few pics and then think about how much better yours are... I mean it!)

I do like the design, and I do like the colors, and I do like the bird... but the background's a bit... dull. ^^' I dunno, it's just with all that color its like there should be a splendid, intricate/decorative background... but there's just random red flashes. But it's still cool, do not doubt that!

I think it looks very effective. About markers, it somewhat easier to avoid a small variety of types if you combine them in different colours.

And also, phoenix's ARE supposed to be rainbow colored...some of them anyway, they look different in a bunch of cultures...but in most books I seen with them in there...they're either rainbow or scarlet and gold...lol >.< so you did fine!^^ Great pic as always though, this is one of my favorites!^^
