My Thoughts while designing this piece of Weblayout/design (Remember, this is only a developing Design Concept ! ):

The Guild Website.
or the Thing that leads to a bigger one:

First of all, this is a fully crafted, but normal Guild Website/Fansite for your Team/Clan to organise, participate or fight in the latest Star Wars MMORPG Experience: The Old Republic. Or if that's to much World of Warcraft Game Style, just use it for Star Wars Galaxies or any similar looking Rpg. Show off your gathered Items/Loot, yell out the next Raids or Events and advertise for new Members to register. Completely Socialized between Twitter and Facebook. New Modules can be added easily, so there is a chance for Ranking, Videos, Twitpics.

The User Experience RPG.
or Achievement, Experience, Browser controlled Level System:

After Registration, by editing your Profile, maybe choose your favorite Race Profile from the well known Star Wars Universe. Even Races that are not playable in the actual Bioware Game (except for Animals) to participate in an Browser Star Wars Adventure, or just watch it as a normal user without benefits. It is totally up to you.

Start leveling, gain experience points along your Site-Journey, get achievements for taking action on the Page itself or in the forums, comment on articles, visit other User Profiles and add them to your friendlist. Compete against each others, or just talk about SWTOR Ingame Events, even plan the next Raid inside Star Wars Galaxies via private Messages.

125 Web-Levels, dozens of (planned) Awards and Achievements, and the greatest of all: Choose your side. Jedi or Sith, The Light or the Dark.
After (!) you mastered the first 12 neutral Stages of your Online-Website Profile. A bit Orientation necessary... Instead of joining Imperial Forces or the Republic instantly.

Notes:
There is no such thing as a designed Talent Tree for the Website-Level you reach, that would have turned the whole thing into a browsergame, and that wasn't my intention. A Idea though, but a turned down one. Just in case you ask yourself...

Edit: I added a Forumsdesign for some vBulletin like Board-Software.

Edit2: Added the Splashscreen for the Decision wether you like to join light or dark Forces. Artworks and Characters used for presentation here, belong to Lucas Arts and/or the Bioware Team.
