I drew and inked this YEARS ago. I don't ink my stuff anymore. I used to ink it on tracing paper, scan the tracing paper and colour.

I actually like the thick lines. I have a light box. I think it's time to experiment with inking again.

Anyway - this piece annoys me. Because I did it years ago yet I still like it. Which means I haven't improved much. OR! I got lucky one day and jumped ahead five years or so.

This is Red's character "Sif" who, if I recall correctly, is the daughter of Thor, God of Thunder. This idea of her prom dress, having been made by dwarves, comes apart, just really appealed to me. I actually would like to do more in this vein.

Anyway, just coloured it today. Took about three hours. I'm not too happy with the shadows, but I like the lighting. It's nice, really. Glad to have done it.

You almost got it right: Sif was actually Thor's wife, not his daughter.

And I know what you mean, about feeling like you haven't improved much. (Believe me, you HAVE!) I look at stuff I did ten, fifteen years ago and think "Great Maker, I've gone downhill!"

I know Sif in the mythology was Thor's wife, but I believe Red Silver's character, "Sif" (maybe it was "Siff") is his teenage daughter. I assumed she was just named after her mother.

And thanks for saying I've improved. I should curse out the Great Maker more often.

*ponders*

I'm going to watch a lot of BABYLON 5 tomorrow.

Yeah, somehow a tough one like her would have a problem with dresses...but dwarves only work with iron

Oh, cool, are you going to be uploading more of your older works, then? You've been holding out on me! There was a ton of your earlier works that I adore, like the She-hulk in a suit pic and that one of Annie Ample.

That reminds me, did you ever mention the photobucket album where folks can find some of those older pieces?

I thought so too, but I couldn't find it when I looked in your old entries. Why not upload those pics directly into your gallery?

Would be a fun concept if an armour she wore would have tore apart in a similar fashion
