Description
Like Lord Fiske, Duff Killigan is a landed gentleman. He is Laird of a small island in the outer Hebrides, and Castle Killigan is an impressive edifice. Most of the island is used for grazing sheep, and Duff needs a sturdy little car to get around. Sorry, , it's not a Jeep but a maroon 80'' wheel-base Land Rover Mk 1.
It is also useful for getting around his golf courses. Here, he has invited some friends to test his new 18 holes. Some will be giving him better competition than others...
Castle Killigan looks a bit like Eilean Donan. Or perhaps it is the Castle Aaaargh.
Duff Killigan, Dr. Drakken and Shego are (c) Disney, and created by Schooley and McCorcle.

What a brilliant picture ^_^ with me both a avid golfer and a Kim Possible fan i can understand Drakken's fustrations,
While Shego and Duff would make one Explosive (no pun intended) two ball ^_^ I wouldn't like to be thier opponents LOL.

Thanx! I had some trouble drawing Shego in the act of playing golf, but the internet is a wonderful source of references!

A good car solid, reliable and almost bullet proff. Killigan must have gotten a custom paint job because the Mk1 2 and i belive the mk3 were only in British raceing green. it wasn't untill the late 70s i think that they started into all the differant colours. But it was the ruggedness and reliability that made them a hit with the Armed forces.

You are correct, of course - the maroon colour is quite classic for British lorries, but not for the Land Rover! The first couple of years for the Mk 1 it was green only. Then they started making it in grey and blue, also, and later beige. But Duff wanted to be special!

I imagine the Duffer's Land Rover maybe having some custom tartan upholstery and maybe even a St. Andrew's Cross somewhere on the body.
Just to balance out that terribly English vehicle with some proper highland Scot

Poor Dr.D. not even when playing golf, he has luck. How can Duff agree that Shego wins

The Dr. is not a very athletic man, and is far too excitable to play games of skill. Duff's competetive instinct must have been blunted by some sort of misguided affection for the green lady...

Yeah, the Dr. can get it together, but I doubt he can go though the smooth and powerful motions needed to play golf; he seems a bit of a klutz...
--- and Shego sure can turn heads when she turns it on...

Yessir, the ultimate 4x4! In my ultimate garage, there would definitely be room for a Land Rover, except I'd have a Defender 90. I'd park it right between my Ferrari 288 GTO and my new Bentley Brooklands! Also, you didn't give me the chance to guess this one! Whassupwitdat?

I think it would have been way to easy for you...
So, OK, Motor Ed really likes cars, trucks, tractors, anything with big machinery in. So I'll give him a number of different ones.
First out - he'd also like an all-terrain vehicle, so he'll get a really good one. Not in terms of comfort, speed or street-cred, perhaps, but in sheer ability to negociate terrain.
Oh, and it is used in many armed forces, basically as a people-carrier, and also for serch and rescue in many countries and regions.
Might be a tough one!

Hmm, all terrain.. Hummer would be too obvious, Jeep is too small, For my first guess, I'll say.... The Mercedes Unimog. Ooh, this is fun!

Hummer would be to obvious, indeed. He probably has a couple of these just to go from his porch to his mailbox...
Not a Jeep, no. The Uni is getting closer, but I guess I'm being really evil with this one!

Hmm, this IS gonna be tough, I've never really paid attention to off-road OR military vehicles. Was it first designed for the military, or for civilians? Country of origin? It isn't the Sportchassis, is it? I don't know if any military uses those... Or maybe a DUKW?
π: 0 β©: 1
FeudorLaurent In reply to turbolover175 [2008-12-25 09:03:39 +0000 UTC]
I'm beginning to feel bad about this...
OK, yes, it is a military vehicle first. The company is today British, but that is through acquisition.
It is used by the military in many countries, including the US, UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Sweden.
The civilian versions are mainly for special stuff like ambulance or maintainance for grid or oil companies, or for pulling special adapted trailers like skylifts or fire fighting equipment.
It loves mud and bogland.
You're gonna shoot me over this...

You know, I hate to admit it, but I'm honestly drawing a blank here. Like I said, I'm no good with off-road vehicles. I could spend hours researching it on the internet and find an answer, but I wouldn't have found it out, then, would I? Well, I guess I'll just wait for the pic to come out, like the rest of us.

That is a good point. I can see a '70s style T-bucket with a blown big-block, steamroller slicks and a tall shifter, and maybe an older Mustang. I wonder if he has the funds for a Boss 429?

FeudorLaurent In reply to turbolover175 [2008-12-28 12:03:33 +0000 UTC]
It's a special one for me: When I used to walk to schools as a kid, there were mostly small and cheap cars in the neighbourhood. One person, however, had splashed out on a, to me, very impressive brand new black Mustang with red upholstery, which has sort of defined the car for me. Now it all depends on how old you really think I am to give you a hint of the model year ...

FeudorLaurent In reply to turbolover175 [2008-12-29 08:58:42 +0000 UTC]
I'm not really sure what year a 5.0 Fox would be; is that what's called "third generation"? If so, I'm sorry to have to confess that I'm a bit older than that....
π: 0 β©: 1
turbolover175 In reply to FeudorLaurent [2008-12-30 08:54:03 +0000 UTC]
[link] That's a Fox-body, the epic '80s to early '90s range. If it's older than that, are you referring to the redheaded stepchild of the Mustang world, the dreaded Mustang II? [link] At any rate, I was right about it being a Mustang.

Well, I can't remeber now if it actually was the 64 and a half; but I saw it walking to school when I at most 10 years old ('cause then I temporarily changed schools) so I'm guessing it was a -65; or at most a -66. There weren't many American cars in the neighbourhood, so it made quite an impression!
π: 0 β©: 1
turbolover175 In reply to FeudorLaurent [2008-12-31 06:44:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it was probably a 65 or 66. The 64 1/2s weren't exactly common. Still, I guessed the car! Party! Oh, and be sure to hide all these comments, you don't want to spoil the suprise for anyone else!

I've been waitin all year long for you to have a jeep drawn, I'm happy you finally did, and am happy it's a Land Rover!!!
If I had enough money I'd have one of these Land Rover. Just exactly as you've drawn it. Maybe english green. Yes, it IS a jeep. I don't want to be irrespectful to Willys, but I almost think Land Rover is THE jeep. And just like that, no roof and only two doors. Very honest opinion, no kidding.
Shego is cheating, she's using her plasma power to get holes in one, or at least eagles...
Ha... the jeep and the sheep!!! Only a ship is missing there!!! I've seen many a funny video about sheeps getting hit by golf balls. There's even a rumour of a "hole in one"...
funny...
