Earth - "Wait!  My DAUGHTER? What do you mean you're my daughter?" (takes a step  back in shock) "...But, how can that be?  Amaranthia never even told me she was pregnant.

(Some dragons do give live birth. Of course others lay eggs.  It depends on the species)

Earth  - I would NEVER have left her to fight alongside King Tae'Elrohiim if I had known!  You really REALLY are my girl?" (looks in closer with his eyes widening in wonderment)

Flower - (blushes and nods shyly) "Yes. She often told me she was worried that if you knew you would be distracted. Being distracted in the midst of fighting could put you in danger." 

Flower - (pauses and sighs heavily before continuing)  "Afterwards you had become so close to the elf king that you chose to stay by his side in his royal court. She felt so betrayed.  Maybe she was greedy.  Maybe she was just angry, hurt and spiteful that you chose the elves over your own family, but she decided she wanted em all to herself."

Earth -  (reeling.  His sways unsteadily backwards another step) "Oh, no. Oh no! NO. What has she done?  What have WE done?  I never knew! How could she?  (mumbles under his breath_ "I never even knew..."

Flower - "She waited for you.  She told me if your really cared about her you would have come home to be with her, to be with me....

Oops I am getting carried away. if I get started on that I will get caught up telling a story that will probably make me cry happy tears... but that is what it made me think of. If I end up deciding to finish this, could I use this within the story? Naturally I would give you full credit and links. ^_^ 

I think I might name it "Dragon Dad"
