Alright, so for this, I'm really looking for help on colour. I was just kinda playing around with different combos. I'm thinking of dropping the red and the grey belt. In retrospect, I didn't try to incorporate Sam's green in there, so if you think I should, tell me how and where. Also, I think I'll go with a darker purple for the inside of her coat. Well, tell me what you all think! And also, any suggestions for the design are welcome too. I'm still playing around with it but, what can I say? I love long coats

DAMN IT! sorry had to get that out of the way. ok first of Great piece. hell i think it could pop up in the show and no one would notice any change. second (and the reason for the "damn it" earlier) i have been making a DP fan story where it is 5 years into the furture and i have been having trouble with Sam i have like 3 designs for her that i like but i feel dont really go with the story. So to try and come up with something i started surfing DA and come across this piece only to realize it is exactly what i have been wanting for her and i am merely mad (mostly at myself) that i myself didnt think of it and now that i have seen this it would be "plagiarizing" if i used it and i dont do that. so one of my 2 choices is thus, may i redraw this in my own hand to put up on DA but link this picture to it and give you credit for the idea?

Thank you for liking this design and asking. You may use/redesign it as you see fit. Normally, I probably would say 'no', but in this case, I will not because I'm no longer going to be writing/drawing this comic. So, I wish you the best of luck with your story and I hope all goes well for you.

I actually like the red, it makes the outfit a bit more intersting, but perhaps just making them black and therefore simplifying them would make her easier to draw and color. The outfit is dark, but not depressing, an interesting design that's not overtly complicated and simple.
DO leave the armbands red, though. I really like that.

Yeah... a darker shade of purple would look better in the inner part of the coat. I also agree with a previous comment about how you could try changing the red accents for green ones.

Well, I'm gonna still play around with the colour scheme. Just an opinion question though; do you think having a darker shade of purple will make her overall outfit too dark? That's my only concern with that, expecially with night scenes...

Hmm... well, it might be too dark during night scenes, but it might make Sam blend with her surroundings to give her a more gothic/mysterious feeling to her character... depends on how you want to portray her character is basically my answer

ohh-- sorry, read the description late.
I like the overall style of the outfit, but yeah, the red just doesn't seem... sam-ish, :/ though I like the silver color of the belt.

Thanks for your comment. I wasn't sure if I should keep the colour of the belt but I suppose I should have something lighter in her outfit to divide it a little better. But I think I've decided to get rid of the red

I'd say: keep the colour scheme simple, but you already did that ^^ If you want to incorporate the green, you could change the red accents by green ones... And if you like, you could make the purple straps on her boots stick out a little, like you did on her arm...but that's just me and what I like

Thank you! Yeah, I think I'll try it with the green next time. Maybe I should just draw a bunch of different combos and see which one I like most....

May be a sketch now, but once you get your comic up it'll be just as spectacular! I love it, as usual!
