Did this last Friday. T'was gonna be my entry for the DPOF Hallowe'en project this year, but I deemed it too negative (takes a few to many punches at Nick XD) to go alongside all the loving fanart already submitted for the project. So it gets tossed in my gallery for the time being, will eventually end up in scraps no doubt, and I solemnly swear I will never, EVER draw anything relating to Spongebob again. Sorry for horrifying you all with this pic!And for those that aren't aware, one of the 'reasons' we've gotten from Nick as to the DP cancellation was that the show was 'too different' from their usual programming. So here's Danny dressing up as some monstrosity that they would obviously be happier to have rather than his unique, individual self.

Spongebob (c) I really don't know... never watched it, but at this point, I think it's warped to only being owned by Nick... I think I heard something about the creator ditching it?

That's just stupid. canceling something because it's 'different' than what they normally show? What's next? Avatar? O_O I shouldn't have said that.... oh well, but seriously, they're getting rid of all the shows that older children/adults can enjoy, and turning it into little kid creepy crappy lala Land.
And I'm not surprised the creator ditched it. I really hate what they've done with it/allowed to go so far. Nowadays, I think they're asking for someone to ask "ARE SPONGEBOB AND PATRICK GAY? TOGETHER? WITH SQUIDWARD?" cuz they sure as shit act like it! it's friggen scary....

Well, I don't watch it, so I really can't comment on what the shows like now, or how it was, but yes, I do think they've given us several idiotic 'reasons' for why DP's cancelled, this one being one of the worst. They have loads of people working for them, couldn't they pool together and at least try to come up with some half-decent excuse? Oh wait, that's right, a lot of the people who work for them aren't let in on the way they run the network too...
I'm all for having programs aimed towards kids, but I know when I was young I enjoyed shows with intelligence... If they didn't push me to think for myself, I often didn't like them.

butch hartman's shows are pretty good about not being pure stupidity. I mean, in the fairy Oddparents, it kind of teaches you lessons, and Danny Phantom was really good about having lessons, but you did have to kind of think to figure some out.

Hehe, thank you! Nick's just pushed my buttons too much. I might not like Spongebob, but I don't have anything against it. However, when Nick starts spouting idiotic things like 'DP isn't "fresh" enough' and yet they're still in full support of an even older show at the same time, it really starts to annoy me. Meh, I couldn't draw a nice, little supportive pic this time and instead my dark humour showed through a bit xD Ha, well, guess any respect I have for Nick has been gone a while anyways...

Yeah, Stephen Hillenburg stepped down some time ago before Nick ruined spongebob with that disturb ing movie and those ass-stupid episodes.
As for the reason behind it's cancellation, i think it's stupid. Have they looke dat Barnyard? and Tak=? how are THOSE not too different from the usual programming? come on nick, at least TRY to make up good excuses.
