"So young, at only fourteen, and our whole lives ahead of us... Who knew our futures would be so screwed up?"This is a picture of Vlad, Jack and Maddie at the same age as Danny now. I titled it 'Innocence' because all they did was enjoy each other's company and friendship. It was before the hardships of romance, before the hardships of college, and before the accident that changed it all... I did this picture in response to The Ultimate Enemy, where we got to see a MUCH softer side of Vlad. To me, Vlad wasn't always power-hungry or angry. And so, here he is, playing a usual 'kid's prank' on Jack during a photo shoot of the three of them. Maddie, who noticed Vlad's little 'stunt' is smiling half in amusement, half in disapprovement. Jack on the other hand, doesn't notice what Vlad's really up to.
I'm not fond of the backing for this one. As I said, it was supposed to be one of those group photos at school on photo day. So the backdrop is usually nothing too exciting... but here, it just doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I'll change the background when I can think of something better to have there. I tried a field scenerio... but that looked plain aweful... The problem is that they really were drawn with posing for a picture in mind... Oh well, we'll see if I get back to this one....

I do not buy that Vlad is totally evil, he just has a personality weakness that still showed up even when he wasn't hit with the portal in Master's of all Time. I wish cartoons would go more into how to help people overcome their hurts then just labeling people heroes and villains. This is why I write fanfiction. I love Vlad and ship Vlad/AUMaddie.

Heh, it's actually quite a funny story on how I designed Vlad for this pic... I went and looked up what he looked like in college for a reference and took several notes on certain aspects of his body. For example: blue eyes, dark blueish spiky hair, long and skinny body... and that's when it hit me... he DOES look a LOT like Danny... It was kinda freaky. heh Danny really is similar to Vlad whether or not he wants to admit it...

I love this. It kinda gets to ya you know? I mean, everything was just normal for them back then. Its sad to see how Vlad went from this to that.. But, Jack is the same. The lil Ghost tee *hehe*

You saw right through my little scheme! Heh. Yeah, they are slightly based on the DST trio. Personally, I don't actually think Vlad and Jack met Maddie until College, but I do hope that they themselves were high school buddies. It just makes that pain of losing a long-time friend so suddenly because of a life-altering experience that much more present in this situation. Of course, Butch may never tell us exactly what happened...

Thank you! Yeah, I had to go find out what the Packer's symbol was for Vlad's shirt (to be perfectly honest, I had never heard of them till I saw the show, I don't watch football, at all!) And I get the same kind of sad feeling with this picture. It's supposed to be happy but envoke a feeling of loss at the same time.
