Taken at: Serendip SanctuaryI don't really like these birds. Not because of their looks, it's more to do with how they don't let you sleep at night. I remember visiting Queensland and at night all you heard were these things going "WEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHH". Anyway, these birds can tend to be vulnerable to predators as when disturbed instead of fleeing they freeze. Plus they are mostly ground dwelling which doesn't help against foxes, cats, dogs, dingoes or goannas.
