Description
He breaks through the water, shattering his false reflection. Behind it lies an emptiness, vast and dark like the absence he has always felt in the back of his mind - the Before he has always known existed, but never questioned, the one mystery he has always shied away from. But now there is an island floating in the dark. A memory. Warm light shines from it, inviting sounds fill the air: the ever-present tingling of the wind chimes, the crackle of a campfire, voices he can't quite make out (he thinks he hears his name, but knows it cannot not him they speak about), leaves rustling as a small forest creature curiously approaches the clearing (silent is the hunter that follows it). The familiarity hits him like a gust of wind - the sense of loss that comes with it hits him like a tree torn loose by the storm. For the first time in his journey here, he anxiously looks back, but the water in the doorway has made way for solid marble. There is no way but forwards through the past, and so he rushes through, trying not to hear the answers this place sings to him, trying not to look at the face that was once his. What good would it do him to know what he has lost?

And that was the last part! I might draw something for the even conclusion when it is revealed, but we'll see.
I'm so happy I managed to finish a temple run! I have to say I was rather intimidated by this event at first, because developing characters is hard and I don't have that much backstory fleshed out for most of my esk, but in the end this was a great opportunity to get to know Prometheus better (and he is totally not avoiding answers just because I haven't made up my mind about his original form yet, shh).
