I was at a Gun store in LA when someone picked up a Garand and released the bolt (by pushing the ¨follower¨ down) i saw it and screamed: No Don't. he removed his finger just as it slammed forward.

Actually in the Top 5 Bolt Action service rifles chart i was going to have the Kar98k, but i went the Gewehr 98 is the original service rifle of the German Army.

I think that most GI's would have been perfectly content toting a carbine or Thompson, with Garands issued only to sharpshooters.

M1s never feature a lot in Kelly's Heroes. Thompson sub machine guns are common in Kelly''s Heroes due to large quantity of supply.
