Description My and MSW's entry for the Anthro collaboration contest. I'm doing the line work, she offered to do the colouring.

The line's light on here due to a low quality scanner and the need to necessitate, if the original is lost in mailing, an easy enough time to work over the lines.

I quite like my work on the lion. If you wish, MSW, feel free to edit the mouse. not good with rodents. The mouse is carrying a sword (and sheath) while hanging from a rope. The Lion is reaching for its dropped spear, the head of which is hidden behind the forearm. That left leg (the one on the right) should be tangled in wire, but I couldn't get anywhere close to something looking good when i did it.

I will include specific details in a one alongside the original image.

Approximately 11 X 18 inches.

MSW, I'll be sending this out as soon as I get an appropriate sized envelope that it does not necessitate folding of the original. And I've left download on in case you wish to obtain a copy of this without necessitating an email.

I'm using the word Necessitate a lot today, aren't I?

lol, forΒ a second I thought the mouse was attacking the lion's exposed and vulnerable nether parts XD

I'm really digging the mouse's expression, but I must say that the lion came out awesome! Great job!

Thank ya! I'm not so certain on the mouse, but i love my lion.

Hopefully it will be a hundred times improved when *MoonsongWolf 's done with the colouring.

I love it! I'm looking forward to working on this one. I think that having them suspended in mid-air was a wonderful touch. For some reason, I've always thought of it as a net along the ground (probably from seeing so many illustrations of it in kid's books), so I think this is a refreshing change. And I think the mouse looks lovely for your first rodent!

I thought of doing a ground net, which is more probable, but I thought it would be too difficult to make it full body, which it would have been. So decided on a net laid on the ground and covered in natural terrain so that when he would step on it it could spring upwards and snare him.

It also allowed me to try the action pose of a fully bent body in motion.

And thank you.

The suspended net made a lot of sense after I saw it and thought about it. It's clever and I like it! Oh, and I forgot to mention, if you are having trouble finding a suitable envelope, you can use one of those poster-mailer tubes. It might even be cheaper than sending an "oversized" envelope, and it's less likely to get bent or damaged.

True. My mom mentioned the oversized thing too. I'll ask her about getting one of them for me instead.

I'll tell ya when I ship it out, that way you don't have to wonder if it got lost in shipping.

Not bad! You've got some action going on, and the mouse really looks smug. =3

Thank you.

I tried for smugness. That's what you get when you try and base a mouse off of Reepicheep.
