Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar

All the papers had to say
Was that Ledger was found in the nude

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset

And I would have liked to watch you

Your candle burned out long before

This was a labor of love. I was actually intimidated to begin and had to wait a day to build up the courage to draw this. It's just such a busy picture compared to what I'm used to.

Lately, I've been trying to do portraits and pop art that isn't the same as everyone else. So when it came to Heath Ledger, I didn't want to be one of the hundreds of people on DA that draws this picture . No offense to those who did. A lot of them are really good. I just wanted to do something unique. This is a pencil drawing of Vincent Fantauzzo's painting of Heath Ledger. It's such a hauntingly tragic painting, I really wanted to draw it.
