Description
Okay, this is the only pic of Orei (aka Yurei- "ghost")that I'm really happy/finished with. It's mixed media (graphite drawing, inked and then painted in with acryllics. The background is a CG texture, but he's all hand done.)I'm spacing, so that's all I have to say at the moment. I didn't create the background. I found that texture somewhere and tweeked it.
Yes, the rain/wind/background does not touch him- he's called Yurei for a reason.

Ah, thank you much! This was first time really exprimenting with putting in a digital background to one of my acryllic pics. I liked it, but I've not really had the time/motivation to do anything else like this in awhile. maybe one day . . . when I'm no longer spending every waking moment that's not on the comp reading HST's books like some kind of lunatic fangirl.
Um, then again, *looks at the long list of HST books that she has not read* . . . yeah.

Thanks. I actually painted most of that image using acryllic paints.
I can't actually use photoshop,.. except for backgrounds. (Which is what I did.

Thank you!
The background's a photoshop texture, I found it somewhere online at one of those "free texture" sites. I was like - YAY! The original background was just a solid blue color- I was too eager to play with the new copy of photoshop my (at the time) bf had procurred for me.
Don't know where he got it... Certainly wouldn't use it if I knew it was pirated...
Arr! I choose the right to remain
But anyhow, I spent like thirty minutes playing with the texture, trying different colors and sizes and such. It was fun, though a complete waste of time (I had the one I wanted in like ten, but just kept playing.)
The original work, I fussed with for a coupla weeks,.. maybe a month...
I can't really recall...
But then, I almost never just sit down and draw a pic completely through. As my drawing teacher used to say, "it's all a process of refinement." Or some such I refine too much though.
And I never do just one at a time... I have at least five I'm working on now.
And I doodle constantly at work.
Ooh, I will be adding more of this guy. He looks a little different for each pic though. If I wanna try my hand at manga-ka-ing I really should work on that... But,.. too tired...
Work is evil and has me sleeping through my creative peak (I get most creative about midnight-four am. I work from 6 am-3 pm. So, I've not been artsy lately.)
But, I'll still try! Biktori!
