Description A colored galezze. I was sketching aimlessly again. I'm kinda depressive at the moment. I'll get over it eventually, I suppose.

I have always liked the look of sketches... sometimes even more than the final product. I am glad you sketch colored this one, has an almost Curious George story book illustration quality to it.

Since you want an advanced critique look at the haunches... believe that is what they are called. I have seen many artists make sleek animals and it seems that most quadrupeds that are healthy have tight stomachs. I mean to say that they have a curve upwards from right behind the front legs to the back. A gentle slope that separates a larger chest (with the rib cage behind it) to the flat, tight stomach. Basically an inverse of the back the rear is smaller than the chest. I would give the back a harsher slope near the rear as well.

I love the head and neck... I suck at necks so badly. And the legs are great. I think you background is great. I see a few things (it is so much easier to give tips to anatomy when it isn't your own work I know so sorry if I am pecking a dear squirrel) but it is hard to describe On the whole I really like it and think you have quite a talent.

Hmm... interesting point about the barrel (that's what you call the stomach of larger quadrupeds, I'm pretty sure). I didn't use a reference for the lower body. I should have.

For the head, I used this image as a reference: [link] , which is why it even looked halfway decent. Usually when I sketch things I haven't ever sketched before I try to go with a good reference. Needless to say the muzzle on mine was slightly too large.

And hey, I love tips and critique of all harshness. If you can give more, I'd appreciate it.
