It is beautiful, and most definitely an art form, but I think it's important to clearly identify when photo manipulation techniques are used. For the longest time I was really disappointed with my own photography because I couldn't take single shots like this and I got really discouraged by it. Then I found out that images like this are created with manipulation and I realized that it was unrealistic to expect my shots to look like that straight from my camera when I took them.
