A pidove, a gastly and an unown were making their way across the setting sky, getting closer to their destination.
"Graye, are you sure we're going in the right direction? I can't see a giant tree at all, even from up here. Maybe we're completely lost!" worried the pidove.
The unown replied with a sigh, "I'm the whole reason we're going there Martha, if anyone knew the directions it would be me."
Graye was indeed the cause of their journey to a place called Tabira. In that land there were rumours of Pokemon who could teach others moves that no one else of their species could learn naturally. As Graye could only know one move as an unown, this blew his mind. His two friends, Lowick and Martha, agreed to accompany him to this land as it was dangerous to go alone. The trio kept moving until the sun was starting to set. With no ability to see in the dark, they landed in one of the thick trees of the forest below and settled down to sleep.

Lowick, the gastly in the group, was finding it hard to get to sleep. She loved exploring but this much hovering in thin atmosphere was taking a toll on her. Sleep seemed to slip away from her even through the gastly's tired mind. With a sense of restlessness she lifted off the branches and glided to the floor. The dark forest seemed pretty quiet and maybe a quick walk would help calm the mind. Slowly moving around in shadow, Lowick thought about home. She had a loving family back home who tended the small village's graveyard but the place depressed her. After a while of wandering, Lowick stopped. She could hear breathing from the dim clearing ahead of her..

There seemed to be a big mound in front of her that rose and fell under the moon. It must be a Pokemon but, who were they? Lowick crept closer and saw giant fin shapes coming out of their back and that the Pokemon were even bigger than she thought. Faced with this, the gastly quickly hovered back a few paces as someone that size would not take kindly to her snooping around. As she left the clearing there was a huff. They were going to wake up! With figurative hammering heart, Lowick fled from the scene and raced to find her friends. What a story to tell them!

The next morning ::

"I still don't believe you. A giant, wild Pokemon so close to Tabira? Hardly likely!" huffed Graye as they moved.
This time the team travelled on foot as everyone wanted a change in scenery. The trees around them seamed like marble pillars in the minimal light. Sunrise was soon to come.
Lowick smirked, "I never said they were wild, just big, you tosspot." The unown wouldn't believe her but Martha wasn't so sure and had her feathers ruffled.
"Hmm, as team safety manager I still think we should keep close together as we walk." she stated, looking left and right.

As the morning sun finally rose there was a loud roar in the trees ahead of them. Sounds of battle permeated the forest as the team hid in the bushes. Lowick was intrigued, what was happening out there? Slowly, she levitated closer to the noise (gaining her withering glares from Martha) to see what was going on. The sunlight played on her eyes for a second and then there it was!
Three Pokemon were battling under the morning sun with amazing technique. One was a braixen, another was a litten and the was... the giant Pokemon!

They were huge and battled fiercely against the braixen, appearing to be on the same side as the litten. Static coursed through the air as an electric attack sent the feline Pokemon sprawling. Lowick heard the braixen gloat about... stealing their stuff? Oh, he's a bandit! The gastly rushed forward to help but stopped short at a strange barrier around the trio, the result of a move? A yowl sounded as the litten clamped their jaws onto the thief and the battle continued.

Soon, the big Pokemon had defeated his enemy and had let them go. As he left, he head towards them! Lowick saw her chance as he passed and floated up behind him. His fur was ripped out in places, his hat was singed and a big bite mark decorated his right shoulder. Man, those guys back there must be great fighters!
"Excuse me sir, are you in need of any help?" she asked.
"Wha-?! Oh, why hello little miss. Actually I do have one request." he smiled slyly. "I would love it if you just..."
The bandit was slowly lifting his wand but Lowick caught the movement and whipped up her staff. "If you raise that wand any higher, I am going to melt of every single oily hair off your body." she warned with a smile even slyer than his.
"As you wish, madam." the braixen reluctantly conceded as he bowed. "I shall then take my leave."

After the dirty Pokemon had left, Martha ran up to Lowick who burst out laughing. She had loved his face of defeat and the way he was angry at her.
"Oh, you trickster, you! How can I make sure you are safe if you do things like this?!" scolded the pidove as she pulled Graye and Lowick into a big hug.
"Let's just keep going, I don't want to stay here any longer." said Graye as he tried to escape from the embrace. The unown had been quiet through all this but that was probably because of the battle. His survival instincts tell him to shut up and stay still around danger like that. Finally, the trio headed off and went on their way to Tabira once more.
