Description I think the kerubi was the first steamwork pet I completed, and the third of mine released A lot of testing and practise went into this guy, and he was redrawn quite a bit throughout! Figuring out his tail was interesting. Linearting this was painful xD

How did you become an artist for subeta? Are there other artists? Is it a lot of competition?

I applied 4 years ago when it was just volunteer, but to get on these days you have to wait until applications open and then submit some good examples the kind of thing you could do for subeta And you have to be over 18, and live in America!

That all made sense until the part about living in America and being 18. Why?

Because Subeta is a business, and they have to comply to tax laws and employment laws.

The tail reminds me of Jules' hair

Rah-luff, it is really amazing. I can't imagine the pain of linearting and attention to so much detail! Even though they're furless, you give it that feel as if it was there. And I'm a sucker for the brass, iron and copper colours with Steampunk.

To sum it up, it is freaking beautiful. Can't wait to see more, especially that Jollin. Keep up the superb work and don't die from linearting. xD

Haha, thank you! I have been really trying to replace their features with metalwork as well as I could whilst still keeping their old feel!

I don't think I could have drawn this colour if I hadn't been so into it. I've been wanting a steamwork robot colour for like...2 years, and I was just so happy when it was finally ok'd and we got to start working on them. I may be nearly dead, but I'm happy xD

Yeah, I never really knew about Steampunk till I played Subeta and have come to love it too. But I'm not advanced enough to really try a hand at it, but it's great to hear you love working with it! Might I suggest a pose idea for the Jollin? c:

You can suggest, but I have already completed the jollin and it's just been released!

...oh waittttt, awww you were disappointed in it. Well I'd love to hear your pose idea anyway? These things are way hard to do, making lively poses is very, very difficult

It's still a great pet! I just set my expectations too high when I anticipate a pet, so it's not your fault.

But maybe for Glade when you get around to it, the Jollin could see a butterfly on it's tail and is very excited to see it? It's not exactly super active, but since you have the Spectrum Ruffie chasing it's tail already and that the floofeh tail can be challengesome to fit in the 200x200 box, I had to think the pose more logically.

-shrugs- I dunno, I'll always love your Jollins. x3
