Journal 3 said that Stan had stolen a dinosaur egg during 'Land Before Swine' and it hatched a Compsognathus.
According to the journal, 'Compy' ended up following Stan everywhere, stealing from the tourists, and squawking at them in a way that sounded like 'No Refunds' (in Dipper's opinion). and Compy thought that Stan was his 'Mama'
...I have absolutely no problem with this. I can totally imagine Stan with a pet Compsognathus XD
Just gotta wonder what Stanford thought when he first saw Compy... I know, I know, Compy ended up staying at that farm instead of the shack, long before Stanford came back through the portal, but darn it, Stan with a thieving little pet Dinosaur is just too awesome to ignore... besides, who's to say Compy didn't come back? I mean, if he was following Stan everywhere, then wouldn't it make sense if he found his way back to the shack anyway? I mean, quite a few dinos do have a really good sense of smell.... XD
... I just wanted to draw Stan with a dino on his shoulder, ok? tbh, this probably isn't going to be the only drawing with compy in it in my Gallery... XD

I love this so much! I totally agree, I loved the idea of Stan having Compy as a pet and Compy being all "No refunds" and picking pockets just like Stan. That was such a cute idea, and Gravity Falls SO needs more of Compy! I love this picture, it's so funny! I always wondered what Ford and Compy's dynamic would be, too. I figure he might mistake Ford for Stan at first. Love this pic. Awesome job.

yeah, Stan with a compy was a great idea. I honestly wish it had made it into the actual show... I would've loved to see what shenanigans would happen due to a greedy little dino... XD

I might in the future, though I can't be sure... I'm a bit of a scatterbrain and I tend to not draw anything unless I get some inspiration for it, and can't really focus too well on multiple fandoms at once... I do inted to draw more later though... XD
