Stygian : Thanks for helping me get these herbs, Somnambula. Normally I would ask Meadowbrook, but she seemed a bit busy with the princesses' cold.

Somnambula : Its no problem, Stygian. but I must ask what your doing looking for herbs in the firstplace...

Stygian : Oh. well, Starswirl is working on a new spell, which he decided to mix with a potion, but he didn't have the ingredients to make the potion, so I volunteered since he seemed busy...

Somnambula : he's mixing a new spell.... with a potion...?

Stygian : Yeah...

Somnambula : ... ... its soooo going to blow up in his face. *snicker*

Stygian : yeah, probably *chuckles*

*bushes rattle and shake*

Stygian : wh-whats that...?

Somnambula : I don't know... can't be a timber wolf. too small.... *gets into battle position*

Stygian : M-m-maybe we should've brought Flash with us... he's better at dealing with the c-creatures in these woods....

*bushes rustle some more before a tiny baby draconequus tumbles out of them*

Somnambula : uhh... *relaxes* thats... not really what I was expecting...

Discord : *looks up at them, with his tongue sticking out a bit*

Stygian : wait... thats... thats a draconequus! but... its so young... where are it's parents? Draconequui never leave their young alone, especially when their so tiny...

Somnambula : hmm. there haven't been any draconequui around here though. they mostly stay in Dracopan, so what would a little youngling be doing here?

Discord : *gets into a sitting position and stares curiously at ponies* ... *chirps*

Somnambula : ... ... in the name of Eclipse.... its sooooo cute~!

Stygian : hmm... we should probably take a look around the woods to see if we can find it's parents... if we can't, then we'll take it to Starswirl and see if he has any idea of what to do...

Somnambula : hmm... got any idea if its a boy or a girl?

Stygian : well, lets see.... judging by the head shape, I'm guessing its a boy...just a guess though...

Discord : *chirps again, before stumbling over his wings a bit to get closer to the ponies* .... *chirps* ... *gets up on hind legs, using front legs to balance, before trying to munch on Stygian's cloak*

Somnambula : *chuckle* perhapes we should get going and find this little guy's parents. he seems sorta hungry *picks up Discord and puts him on her back*

Stygian : yeah, good idea...

Woooo. this one took a little while... *bleps*

was hit in the face by some inspiration last night. ended up drawing this thing.

So ya see, I wanted to draw Stygian, but at the same time, I have a Discord obsession (not to mention a love for Egyptian things thanks to Stargate SG-1) so I ended up with Stygian and Somnambula finding a little recently hatched Discord in the woods near the castle (which, at the time, was inhabited by the Two sister's parents, Queen SunDust and King NightStrider, *who I'll draw a pic of later* along with the 1-year old Celestia).

Discord himself isn't all that old in the pic. He actually only hatched about a day or two ago.

He's already smaller than most foals though, as his wings were freakin' HUGE when he was a hatchling. (worse than Flurry Heart's wings, actually, seeing as Discord is just a noodle with limbs, even when he was a hatchling. Honestly, his wings are, like, probably more than 40% of his body at this point, as he's really thin, not to mention his tail isn't even the same length as the rest of his body yet...)

(also, as a little side note, in my headcannon, hatchling Draconequui do little chirps like baby cheetah's do. just thought I'd mention it)

...Probably gonna doodle more TinyCords later. still gotta get to the Nightmare Moon pic tho... XD
