Commissions | Facebook | Tumblr | My OCs | Tsu | Society6Kintsugi (金継ぎ) is the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
Because these two needed to show up again
From now on I will post some old art I left behind in these months, until I'll have something new

Oh my God, I was sure Kintsugi meant something like "repairing something" or "saving someone". I like that you choose such a name, in a different language than your other projects, to really set it apart.^^
And I really love the picture on itself. Adorable and self-explanatory about their relationship. Like the golden marks on Alan (all the yellow lining really shines through since you took grey-cold'ish colors instead of their usual themes... can't help but seeing kind of a message in there, tho, like "no matter how much life might turn to ice, remember that glimpse of light") and even tho I'm not that much into religion, can't help but recognize the light crown on top of Ben's head as the one the "Savior", Jesus (& God), wear like a spiritual saint. That's the kind of imagery that really set the couple apart from every other I usually see, that makes it pretty and unique.
Anywhooo, I'll stop fangirling for a second and just conclude my comment with a simple Really great job !

Thank you so much about that too! I love your interpretation, it's pretty much everything I wanted to convey: Alan is broken and Ben is there to repair with gold.
Or at least to teach Alan to find the gold in himself. Annd, I love the simbology behind light crows (though I'm not religious myself) and I love even more that you caught the meaning of it
He needs someone to drag him out of the cliff, and tell him everything's alright, he isn't alone, and he doesn't have to face all this by himself.
