I love this picture. There are people who ship them, but I see their relationship as like close friends. If Celestia is a mother figure to Twilight, then Luna could be like an aunt to Twilight. It's sweet that Luna is protecting Twilight from nightmares.ย

If Princess Twilight Sparkle is having trouble sleeping, I can think of no pony better than Princess Luna to comfort her and literally protect her from nightmares.ย ^_^

Okay I've been staring at this for the last 10 hours and honestly I wish I could keep looking at it forever. The way you have done Luna's mane is magnificent, it's so sparkly and so alive and such a beautiful contrast to the softened tones of everything else. The faces are so incredibly expressive and emotion-provoking. I absolutely love Luna and I probably draw her the most out of any of the others, and this piece really shows her protective and almost maternal side. It's so powerful and so energising. You've captured everything so well in this. Especially the way her wings melt into the blanket - it provokes a feeling of security and encouragement.
