Very "cool" fractal, I definitely like this style of spiral, and this one doesn't disappoint. I have to agree with the texture being a bit overdone, but I actually wonder if you could apply it to certain parts of the fractal, rather than over the whole thing. Right now it seems placed over everything, like it was the last layer, when I feel like it should be a background layer, with the spiral in the middle coming out on top of it.

Hmm..the texture was tricky to handle
I wanted a hazy look a bit, like looking thru water and seeing the mosaic
at the bottom of the pool - that's why the texture overpowers the spiral
after all the mosaic is made of those pieces

lovely spiral. i think the 'tile' texture is a bit too strong for my tastes, but it's nonetheless fitting to the concept

Hmmm...I tried with the texture being more delicate but it lost that
watery, looking thru sheet of water feeling ...
