CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS FOR TEARS OF THE KINGDOM

He sat by the fire, looking up into the sky at the beautiful white dragon and durned over the horn in his hand. Link was reflecting on the visions he had seen while researching the geoglyphs; Zelda had turned herself into a dragon to restore the master sword. Link pondered if there was a way to return her to her hylian form. He shook his head as he realized that would take some time. So for now, he would have to make do with what they got. Link turned to the fire and tossed the horn in the pot hanging above it with some items to make an elixir.
When the elixir was complete it was a pure glowing white liquid to be drunk. Link dipped his finger into the potion and tasted it, it was so sweet that it made him want to gag, but he forced himself to drink it. He felt something change inside of him after drinking the potion.
A sacred power flowed through him and radiated around him. he heard a familiar voice in the back of his mind asking him to let her free… he looked around and saw no one. Then he felt a wave of nausea pass over him as he started to get dizzy. Link fell over onto the ground face first and passed out.
As he dreamt, he saw images of zelda running around him and into his body. Everytime an image hit him, he felt a shock and changed a little bit more. It seemed like forever until he finally reached the end of the transformation. When he woke up, he was in zelda's body with the master sword in his hand. The morning sun illuminated the clearing in a soft golden hue casting a beautiful light on the white flowers around him. As he stood there enjoying the beauty of nature, a wolf howled in the distance. Link thought about going after him but decided not to waste the day since he had no idea where he was or how long it would take to find his way home. Link walked over to the tree where his pack lay. His new proportions caused him to stumble as he walked, but he knew he needed to get to Lookout Landing to talk to Purah and figure out what happened to him.

When he reached the clearing, he saw Purah lying at the base of a tree. He moved closer to her and called out, "Purah? Are you ok?" She slowly opened her eyes and looked up at him, "oh, thank goodness. Zelda, you're back! And you have the master sword?"
"Sorry to get your hopes up Purah," he started still shocked by the voice that came out of his mouth as he spoke, "it's me, Link"
Purah got up and rushed over to him. she hugged him and cried tears of joy. Link embraced her in return. purah wiped away her tears as she pulled back from him. she looked him over and laughed, "so what happened to you!"
"I made an elixir with a shard from the light dragon and now i look and sound like zelda, could you help me?"
Purah nodded, "of course I will help you."
"thank you so much. can you take me to Lookout Landing?"
Purah smiled, "yes, of course."
She led him to the river where they jumped into the water and swam across it. On the other side, they climbed out of the river and walked along the path to Lookout Landing. As they arrived at the village, Purah told him to wait while she went to find the others. Link watched as she ran off and turned back to the village. He saw a small child playing with a stick and decided to go say hello. The boy looked at him curiously but didn't run away.
"Princess?" he asked "you're back?"
"Im sorry little one," he said "its just me, link." he knelt down and held out his hand. The child took it and looked up at him curiously, "what's your name?"
"My name is Calum," he replied.
The boy frowned, "where's Zelda?"
"I wish i could tell you," link sighed, "but i don't know either. But I promise I'll find her."
Calum seemed to accept this answer and skipped away. Link waved goodbye to the boy before turning back to Purah who was approaching him.
"The others are waiting for us in the elder's hut," she said as they both entered the elders hut. Link looked around amazed at all the changes the village had gone through since he had left.
Purah sat him down next to her and introduced him to everyone in the room. They all welcomed him and gave him tea. After a few minutes, Purah announced, "Link is here, but he has become a copy of Zelda."
Everyone cheered and clapped their hands together. They brought out some food and set it on the table. Link thanked them and ate with gusto. When he finished eating, he noticed everyone staring at him.
"I need help," link started, "I've become a copy of Zelda after drinking an elixir using a piece of dragon horn that i presume is from Zelda's current form"
"Link!" Purah exclaimed and hugged him again.
They all crowded around him asking questions about Zelda. Some were concerned and wanted to know if Zelda was alive and well. Others asked him how he was feeling. Link explained everything from his visions and dream to becoming zelda.
After the stories, Purah sat him down and began to explain what had happened. Link listened intently to her explanation.
"the elixir must be rare and powerful," Purah explained, "it can change someone into anyone but it comes with a price. Link you need to save Zelda from her dragon form to return to your normal self."
"How do i do that?"
"I'll show you," Purah said taking out a piece of parchment and writing something down, "this will be your map."
She handed him the map and he looked at it and tried to memorize each location as best as he could.
"If I defeat the evil queen it could be the key to saving Zelda?" Link asked.
Purah nodded, "yes, but it won't be easy. She has many warriors under her command and she is very strong, even stronger than when she was a human."
"What should I do?"
"Be prepared," Purah replied, "for the challenge ahead of you."
Link took a deep breath and stood up. "thank you for telling me, and helping me. I'll do everything in my power to save her."
Purah smiled, "good luck, Link. I'll see you soon."
