So, it finally happened. I've been watching this show a long time, so long I figured, wow, these three were never going to get their marks. That this goal in their young lives would last throughout the whole show. Then today, after years of trying to figure out their cutie marks, it happens, the moment they realize together that, this whole time, their special talent in life was HELPING OTHERS discover their special talents, and the meanings behind them. I recall that's what they did together when they helped Troubleshoes Mclyde figure out his cutie mark, because he spent his whole life not knowing what it meant, and now with Diamond Tiara as well. Maybe DT didn't fully recognize what her cutie mark meant up till this episode, or whatever the case, they got their marks and it finally happened.I've got to say, it was quite a moment. I'm looking forwards to the future cutie mark crusaders themed episodes now. There's so much more they can do now, and with cutie marks uniting the trio, they'll definitely be doing things together.

S05 E06 seemed to foreshadow what would happen later in season 5 when the CMC helped Trouble Shoes find out the meaning of his cutie mark. And after helping out Diamond Tiara in S05 E18 and deciding to help others find out their special talents, they deserved the ultimate prize.

I don't like it. I would've understood it better if it was more focused on Apple Bloom than the CMC as a whole, and she was the only one that got her mark. But all three of them realizing the exact same talent at the exact same time? It's just stupid. I think their getting cutie marks should have been a slow process; first one gets her mark, then maybe a few eps later another one gets her mark, and then the third gets her mark after that. That just seems to work so much better for me personally.
Also, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon become their friends. Pacifica Northwest kind of already did that in Gravity Falls. And that makes me like the episode slightly less.

It might be like, a secondary symbol tying into their traits. Family, Singing, Speed. I think. Cutie marks tend to be vague. Their three, have layered symbols. It's neat.
