Description
so here's how i come up with the design. who knows, it might help someone

POSE/DEMEANOR
Farfetch'd is a bird pokemon and i think he seems very relaxed and carefree and just sitting around somewhere, so i made his pose look really peaceful and thoughtful. If i drew him in the air flying, there would be too much motion and it wouldnt have a peaceful feel that farfetch'd has. And of course he'll have a simple smile on his face.

HAIR/PEIRCINGS
His hair is meant to look like farfetch'd's feathers on his head. The color used is to match farfetch'd's feathers. It has to be that way so he'll actually have some characteristics of the pokemon and resemble it. The added, rat tails i guess, are to make the hair more interesting. I think they seem to give him a more nature-like feel, especially with the green beads.

His hair style reminded me of a mohawk, so i thought peircings would go really well with it. To me, it also seems kinda like a tribal thing, especially with the black mark on his forehead and leek in his hand.

CLOTHING
The clothes are mostly brown and orange/yellow. This is because i wanted to use the pokemon's natural colors. Since he doesnt have an orange beak, that color has to be in other areas, like in his clothing. I used white for his top shirt because farfetch'd has a white chest area and i wanted to keep that characteristic. The darker brown undershirt is to keep the same color but not blend in with the lighter hair and wings. The black and green wrist band is meant to break up the monotony of seeing brown and orange. The white shirt helps to do this also.
