In the late-1980s (early 1990s?) there was a similar book for science fiction and fantasy races (two separate books, "Bartlow's Guide to" or something similar) from novels. The books each had a major flaw and a major benefit. The flaw being most of the races presented were either from obscure novels or very old popular ones. The benefit was they made the books in the late 1980s when copyright, trademark and IP law in general wasn't treated as a fanatical winner-takes-all religion and you could get agreement from a multitude of publishers. (Either that or the races were only from the books owned by a single publisher which would explain a lot.)

I can only recognize two aircraft from the cover. Can you please give a list of all of the aircraft on the cover as well as which work of fiction they came from? Thank you.
And btw, awesome work!

There are a couple from the Ace Combat video game series, there is the F/A-37 Talon and the EDI drone from the movie stealth, the Lightning fighter from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and a star fighter from Star Wars: Episode I. Β The other two I don't recognize although I think I recognize the symbol on one of them from the Macross anime series
