This is another piece for the upcoming Elric Melnibone book, from Mongoose Publishing.

This piece makes me laugh because I originally painted it in black and white because that's how it will appear in the book. I only slapped on some colors for the interwebz after the fact. It's funny to me because the character in the book is supposed to have red hair and I spent a really long time on the face trying to convey that in black and white by giving him rosy looking cheeks and freckles. As a result I really made the face just a little too photo realistic for my liking and it doesn't really match the style of the rest of my illustrations for the book. D'oh! I also kinda think he looks like a ginger Jason Schwartzman. Double D'oh!
