When you work on machine-inspired subjects like this, how to do you map out their architecture? Being someone who has only ever had practice working with biological subjects in their artwork, I've been really struggling with trying to design convincing machines without them coming out as being too geometric. What sort of advice, if any, would you suggest?
Sorry to put you on the spot. This is an amazing illustration, and I'd love to advance my skills to a point where I could create designs on par with this.
